7 Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) selected a school student of an underprivileged family in Polonnaruwa district, clever at learning and offered him a scholarship for continuation of his advanced studies after visiting the beneficiary’s home.
The philanthropist, Mr A.T.A Jayasooriya volunteered to allocate Rs. 2500/- every month for his studies in response to a request made by the Commanding Officer of 7 Sri Lanka Artillery, Lieutenant Colonel P Karawita.
