68 Infantry Division troops of the Security Force HQ-Mullaittivu on account of the 'Poson' Poya day (03 and 04 June) entertained more than seven thousands of civilians to a free rice and curry treat in a free-eatery (Dansela), put up at Pudukudiyrippu Pradeshiya Sabha grounds.
Ice cream was also distributed as a dessert among the public who thronged there to witness colourful 'Poson' lanterns and decorations. Major General S. Kasturimudali RSP ndc psc, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 68 Infantry Division gave the guidelines for conduct of those commemorative features and GOC together with Mr. K Kanakeshwaran, District Secretary of Mullaitivu participated in the inauguration of decorations. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of 68 Infantry Division were present at the event.
