With the guidance of Major General K.J. WIjethilake, General Officer Commanding, 68 Division, 681, 682 and 683 Brigades in 68 Division under Security Force Headquarters (Mullaittivu) separately organized Sinhala and Tamil New Year Festivals and a Mega Musical Show backed by Army Beat Group, entertained the resettles in the area as well as the soldiers serving 68 Division on Sunday and Monday (07, 08).
The programmes were conducted with the objective of enhancing the mutual understanding and inter relationship between soldiers and civilians, including both Sinhala and Tamil Traditional games and many more games.
The Secretary of Pudukudiripu Secretariat, Medical Officers of the Area, Commanding Officer of Mulativu Air Force Camp, Officer In Charge of Pudukudiripu Police Station, Staffs of Bank of Ceylon and Maliban Biscuits (Pvt) Ltd., large number of general public and many other senior officers were presents the occasion.
