6,754 Still in Quarantine in 67 Quarantine Centres - NOCPCO

As of this morning (13), a total of 760 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. 04 of them are Sri Lankan expatriates and a foreigner. Of those persons, 755 are locally-identified ones, including the majority 397 from Colombo, 136 from Kalutara district and 55 from Kandy district, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By 6.00 this morning (13), the total number of COVID-19 positive cases reported from Minuwangoda garment factory employees and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster stands at 28,498. Meanwhile, 19,896 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients from both Minuwangoda (3,059) and fish market (25,439) clusters have been discharged from hospitals.

Up to yesterday (12), a total of 32,134 persons have been confirmed COVID-19 positive from all over the country, including the dead. 23,303 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 8,682 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centres.

By this morning (13) within last 24 hours, 473 persons recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres. To-date, 149 COVID-19 positive deaths have been so far reported. Two more COVID-19 deaths reported in the past 24 hours were from Imbulgoda and Colombo 15 areas.

By this morning (13), the flight UL 104 from the Maldives with 31 passengers, the flight QR 668 from Qatar with 51 passengers, the flight UL 607 from Australia with 75 passengers, the flight UL 455 from Japan with 210 passengers and the flight UL 226 from the UAE with 63 passengers, have already arrived in Colombo. The flight UL 102 from the Maldives with 24 passengers and the flight UL 303 with 25 passengers from Singapore are expected to arrive in Sri Lanka within today (13). They all were/were to be referred to Quarantine Centres (QCs), managed by tri-services upon their arrival after formalities at the airport.
