Rotary Club of Colombo Fort at the request of the General Officer Commanding 66 Division, Major General M.D Wijesundara and the Commander 662 Brigade, Colonel P. R Pathirawithana distributed school accessories among poor school students at Umayalapuram Primary School, Paranthan on Thursday (21) as one more humanitarian project of the 662 Brigade troops.
36 students in this primary school (Grade 1-5) received those donations, inclusive of books, packs, school bags, water bottles, lunch boxes, books, papers and other stationery to the value of Rs. 125,000/= during the simple ceremony.
President and four members of the Rotary Club, Colombo Fort also attended the event, together with the Commander 662 Brigade, Commanding Officer of 20 Sri Lanka Light Infantry, Officers, parents, teachers, students and Other Ranks.
