660 More Persons Leave Quarantine Centres - NOCPCO

As of this morning (20), a total of 1,487 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them, 23 were Sri Lankan expatriates. The rest 1,464 were locally-identified positive cases, including the majority 217 from Kalutara District, 213 from Kurunegala District, 164 from Colombo District and 870 others from different Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (20), a total of 286,418 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them, 177,627 were reported after the New Year.

By Tuesday (20) morning (past 24 hours), 972 recovered patients have left Intermediate Care Centers and Hospitals. On 18 July, 48 more deaths have been reported including 28 males and 20 females.

As of Tuesday (20), 4,923 persons in 70 hotels and tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. By Tuesday (20), morning, 660 persons have left 19 QCs after completion of their quarantining process.

By this morning (20), Sagaradeniya Watta in Yatiwawala GN Division in Katugasthota Police Division in Kandy District and Kuda Waskaduwa 710 (West) in Kalutara (North) Police Division in Kalutara District were released from isolation.
