66 Infantry Division troops under command to the Security Force HQ - Mullaittivu with the objective of broadening students’ knowledge on GCE A/L examination subjects coordinated the conduct of an educational seminar for the betterment of 67 GCE Advanced Level students living in Pooneryn area on 09 and 10 January at Pooneryn Central College.
The Army-initiated seminar on examination subjects was organized with the close collaboration of the University of Jaffna and all lectures at the invitation of the Army were conducted by Mr. J. Jenidaran, Mr Jeyawindan and Mr S. Pahidharan, all of them being lecturers at the University of Jaffna. Sessions on both days focused on subjects, like Hindu Culture, Geography and Tamil Language.
Brigadier Nalin Jayawardane, General Officer Commanding, 66 Infantry Division, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of under-command Brigades and Battalions gave their fullest support for conduct of those seminar sessions.
