66 Division and 663 Brigade of the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) held their separate New Year festivals on Wednesday (8) and Friday (10) respectively with a large number of civil and Army personnel attending.
Different games of traditional and fun making nature dominated celebrations in these two Army formations. Marathon Races, Bicycle Races, Bun-eating, tug-of-war, Cadjan weaving and the selection of New Year Prince and Princess were among the highlights of both events.
Major General A.P. De Z Wickramaratne, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 66 Division, participated in both ceremonies as the Chief Guest.
