651 Infantry Brigade Troops Buy School Needs for 93 Deserving Students at Thewampiddy

Troops of the 651 Infantry Brigade of the 65 Infantry Division HQ gave away school accessories, worth of Rs 25,000/= among 93 school students at Thewampiddy Roman Catholic Government's Tamil Mixed (GTM) Primary School in Kilinochchi during their annual Sports Meet, held on Wednesday (22 March).

Brigadier Wasantha Bandara, Commander, 651 Infantry Brigade attended the awarding ceremony of the Sports Meet and gave away those incentives to those beneficiaries during the event. The gesture was decided after financial hardships of those 93 children were brought to the notice of the troops.

Officers and Other Ranks of the 651 Infantry Brigade joined together and voluntarily collected financial resources for the worthy project.
