The Anduren Eliyata Solar Powered Light donation program, conducted under the guidance of Major General H.D.W.K.N Eriyagama RWP RSP, General Officer Commanding, 58 Infantry Division, provided solar-powered lights to 65 families in need in Sinnavilluwatta, Puttalam District on 29 December 2023. The program prioritized families with school-going children who lacked access to electricity.
The donations were made possible by the generous contributions of the Sri Lankan communities in Victoria and New South Wales. Mr. Parakrama Giriyagama and Major Aruna Perera (Rtd), representing these communities, participated in the program.
