64 Division Troops Take Part in ‘Baavana’ Programme

A meditation programme, organized according to a concept of Brigadier Jayanath Jayaweera, General Officer Commanding, 64 Division with the purpose of raising spiritual standards and mental peace among Officers and Other Ranks of the 64 Division took place at the Division Headquarters on Thursday (5).

The meditation programme was conducted by Ven. Mathurata Vayama Thero at Kebithigollewa Mahamewunawa Monastery. Ven Vayama Thero educated the gathering on how to meditate properly and benefits of meditation for day-to-day life and well-being.

Many Officers and Other Ranks serving in the 64 Division participated in the sessions.
