Major General Manjula Karunarathne, General Officer Commanding (GOC) in 64 Division under the Security Force HQ-Mullaittivu distributed dry ration packs among 50 needy families in Oddusuddan area on Thursday (24) after an Ireland-based Sri Lankan expatriate, Mr Lalith Dedigamuwa offered his patronage for the humanitarian project.
64 Division troops in consultation with Grama Niladari officials selected the most needy families in Odduddan area before those relief packets were distributed. The GOC personally attended the project, together with troops and representatives of those donors.
