64 Div Educates Troops on Riot Controlling

Two Officers and 86 Other Rankers of the 643 Brigade under the 64 Division conducted one more training programme on ‘Riot Control Training’ at the 643 Brigade auditorium.

The inauguration of the course began on Monday (7) during a brief ceremony attended by the General Officer Commanding, 64 Division, Brigadier Jayanath Jayaweera. Major General Dushyantha Rajaguru, Commander, Security Forces - Mullaittivu has given his blessings to the project.

During the training programme, troops will be enlightened on techniques of riot control, application of controlling, civil law, drills, challenges and legal implications, etc.

Brigadier Jayanath Jayaweera, General Officer Commanding, 64 Division delivered the inaugural address and underlined the importance of such training.
