63 More Contacts & Expatriates Confirmed Positive- NOCPCO

As of this morning (19), a total of 63 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them, 2 are expatriates from Japan in quarantine at Eden Garden Hotel. Other 61 persons were locally-identified close contacts of Minuwangoda garment factory-infected employees, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By 6.00 this morning (19), the total number of COVID-19 positive cases reported from Minuwangoda garment factory is 2077. Of them, 1,041 are factory employees and other 1036 are locally-identified contacts of the garment factory-infected employees.

By this morning, the flight UL 455 from Narita, Japan has arrived with 10 passengers and all of them were sent to the tri forces-managed Quarantine Centres after PCR tests.

Within the day (19), 205 quarantined individuals after PCR tests are set to leave for their homes. Of them, 37 persons are from Rajagiriya Ayurvedic QC, 40 persons from Hotel Jetwing Sea QC, 50 persons from Mandara Resort and 78 persons from Dikwella Resort QC.

To-date, 54,328 individuals have left for homes after quarantining. As of this morning (19), 9,287 persons in 83 tri-service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. Within yesterday (18), 9838 PCR tests were carried out across the country and the total PCR tests conducted so far stands at 383,961.

By 6.00 this morning (19), 08 fully-recovered COVID-19 affectees were discharged from hospitals. 05 of them are expatriates and 03 were identified as close contacts of Minuwangoda garment factory-infected employees who were in quarantine at QCs. (Ends) spy offers | Nike, adidas, Converse & More
