628 More Persons Leave QCs - NOCPCO

As of this morning (28), a total of 1,711 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them, 23 were Sri Lankan expatriates. The rest 1,688 were locally-identified positive cases, including the majority 481 from Colombo District, 310 from Gampaha District, 228 from Kalutara District and 669 others from different Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (28), a total of 299,891 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them, 190,341 were reported after the New Year.

By Wednesday (28) morning (past 24 hours), 1349 recovered patients have left Intermediate Care Centers and Hospitals. On 26 July, 48 more deaths have been reported including 28 males and 20 females.

As of Wednesday (28), 3,529 persons in 66 hotels and tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. By Wednesday (28) morning, 628 persons have left 22 QCs after completion of their quarantining process.
