622 Brigade Joins Weli Oya Civilians to Mark New Year

622 Brigade of the 62 Division under the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) organized a ‘Bakmaha Ulela’ for villagers at Helambawewa , Singhapura, Janakapura, Nelumwewa and Kiriibbanwewa at the 622 Brigade Headquarters ground Helambawewa, Welioya on Tuesday (10).

Chairman of Synergy Technology Mr. Krishantha Prasanna sponsored the programme. On the instructions of the 622 Brigade Commander, Colonel Saliya Amunugama, Major Manjula de Silva, Commanding Officer, 9 GR and Major Budhika Jayasuriiya, Commanding Officer, 27 GR and their troops organized the event which added memories.

Brigadier Sanjaya Wanigasinghe, General Officer Commanding, 62 Division attended the event as the chief guest at the invitation of the 622 Brigade Commander.

Several senior Officers in the 62 Division and more than 500 civilians were associated with the ‘Bakmaha Ulela’.
