Troops of 14 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) serving the 621 Brigade with the support of the donors of Colombo Royal College and University of Sri Jayewardenepura recently gave away school accessories to 231 under-privileged students in 8 rural schools in the Welioya Divisional Education office area.
The donation, sponsored by Mr Prasad Loku Balasooriya and his colleagues of the Colombo Royal College and the University of Sri Jayewardenepura included school bags, water bottles, lunch boxes, book packs, scissors, glue bottles, erasers, rulers, pencil cases, boxes of rainbow colours, sticker cards, 12 colour pencils and saving tills, to the value of Rs 1 million.
Four representatives of the donors went to those schools and distributed incentives among poor children.
Divisional Education Director for Welioya, General Officer Commanding, 62 Division, Commander 621 Brigade, Civil Affairs Officers of the 62 Division and 621 Brigade, Commanding Officer 14 (V) SLLI, also attended distributing programmes, along with parents, students and teachers of the schools.Nike air jordan Sneakers | New Releases Nike
