Troops of the 62 Division Headquarters under the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) on account of the Ill Poya day (Nov 14) sat together and listened to a Dhamma sermon and attended a Bodhi Pooja at their Headquarters premises.
Designed to promote spiritual development and peace of mind among Army personnel serving the 62 Division Headquarters, the programme was planned by Major General B.H.M.A Wijesinghe, General Officer Commanding, 62 Division.
Ven. Kolombisse Vimukthirathana Nayaka Thero, Kammattanacharya at Maradankadawala Isipathana Monastery conducted the special Bodhi Pooja inside the 62 Division premises and delivered the Dhamma sermon.
More than 375 Army personnel including the General Officer Commanding, 62 Division, 622 Brigade Commander, 623 Brigade Commander, Commanding Officers, officers and other rankers assembled there for the Pinkama.
