Troops of the 62 Division under the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) organized a community welfare service to assist the underprivileged community in Kiriibbanwewa and Veherathenna resettled villages during Saturday and Sunday (Sept 27 - 28) by donating dry ration packets.
The Old Boys Association of Ananda College, Colombo in response to a request of Brigadier K.G.D Perera, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 62 Division, conducted the programme.
On Saturday (28) troops distributed dry ration packs, worth of Rs.2000.00 each to 150 families in Kiriibbanwewa and another stock of dry ration packs, each worth of Rs. 1000.00 among 13 pregnant mothers in Veheratenna, the same day.
