The football team of the 62 Division under the Security Force Headquarters – Wanni (SFHQ-W), participating in the Inter Division, clinched the victory beating all other teams at the final tournament, held at the football stadium at University of Rajarata on Tuesday (28).
The Best Player of the series was Private P.H.S.A Karunarathna, SFHQ-W team and the trophy for the Best Player was won by Lance Corporal Sandaruwan. Corporal B.G.T.S Bandara, (62 Div) was adjudged the Best Goal Keeper.
Trophies and certificates were awarded by the Chief Guest, Major General P.U.S Vithanage, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 21 Division, together with Major General K.M.U Wijerathne, GOC, 54 Division.
Many senior officers, other ranks and school children took part in the event.
