42 School Sports Instructors of the Kekirawa Education Zone, 33 School Sports Instructors of the Thambuththegama Education Zone, 77 School Sports Instructors of the Education Zones for Polonnaruwa, Hingurakgoda and Dimbulagala received introductory training in Tug of War game for the first time on an initiative, taken by Major General Janaka Ranasinghe, General Officer Commanding, 62 Infantry Division of the Security Force HQ - Wanni.
The theoretical and practical sessions, related to the game were conducted at the 14 Sri Lanka Artillery camp on Tuesday (17). Instructors of the National Tug of War Team and instructors of the Army trained those instructors during the sessions on Tuesday (17).
Towards the end of the training sessions, all the participants were awarded certificates of participation. The Zonal Education Director of Kekirawa, Zonal Education Director of Thambuththegama, Zonal Education Director of Polonnaruwa, Senior Officers were there at Polonnaruwa Royal College and at 14 Sri Lanka Artillery camp.
