To mark the Sinhala and Tamil New Year, soldiers of 613 Brigade in 61 Division under Security Force Headquarters-Wanni (SFHQ-(W)), organized a New Year festival for villagers of Palampiddi at Tachchanamarathamadu school ground on Saturday (25).
The festivities with the aim of promoting goodwill among villagers included many traditional games and late in the evening over 600 Palampiddi villagers were entertained by a mega musical show.
General Officer Commanding, 61 Division Brigadier D.D.W.W.W.M.R.B.M Daulagala, 613 Brigade Commander, Secretary of Madu Provincial Secretariat and many other senior officers attended the occasion.
