A special blood donation campaign to coincide with the 2600th Sambuddathwa Jayanthi commemoration and Vesak was held at Naddankandal, Vavunikulam on Thursday (19) on an initiative taken by 612 Brigade troops serving the area.
More than one hundred soldiers at the 612 Brigade Headquarters complex lined up this morning (19) and donated blood to the medical staff, arrived there from the Anuradhapura General Hospital.
