61 Division Troops Receive Training in Disaster Management

On the guidelines given by Major General Dammi Hewage, General Officer Commanding, 61 Division, an emergency disaster preparation Out Boat Motor (OBM) training programme got underway at Galle Port on during 22 and 23 days in collaboration with the troops in the Naval Command South.

A team of soldiers of the 61 Division participated in two workshops during the initial programme, supported by lectures, OBM handling, knowledge on boat engines and physical training practices, etc.
