Troops serving the 61 Division in Vavuniya under the Security Forces Headquarters, Wanni (SFHQ-W) recently conducted a series of community-oriented projects on the instructions of General Officer Commanding, 61 Division, Brigadier A. Kariyakarawana.
The disable school student, Ms S Piriyanga residing in Kilavikulam under the Palamoddai Grama Seva Division was gifted with a new commode set plus accessories, needed for a washroom as the first leg of this programme. The student with her disability needed this sanitary facility for a long time and the family thanked the Army for its generosity.
Afterwards, 47 families of low-income groups in Sinnathampanai village were gifted with a dry-ration parcel containing 3 kg of rice and other essentials. Villagers thanked the Army for its care shown towards their existence.
