At the invitation of General Officer Commanding, 61 Division, Major General Boniface Perera, Commander, Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) as the Chief Guest declared opened the newly built Engineers Service workshop, Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) workshop and Sri Lanka Army Corps of Military Police Billet at the 61 Division Headquarters premises in Vavuniya on Wednesday (2).
The project was conducted under the guidance of Brigadier D.M.W.W.W.M.R.B.M Daulagala, General Officer Commanding, 61 Division and with the labour support of the soldiers serving the 611, 612 and 613 Brigades in Vavuniya.
After the ceremony, Major General Perera inspected the volleyball court under construction at 61 Division Headquarters premises.
Brigade Commanders, senior officers and other ranks attended the occasion.
