In another move of reconciliation and ethnic harmony, troops of the 61 Division under the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) with the sponsorship of Mr Sajeewa S Fernando, General Manager, Royal Paint Lanka (Pvt) Ltd took steps to build the new main gate at V/ Sri Krishna Vidyalaya and renovate the pre-school and its Children's Park at Sinnathampanei on Tuesday (17).
The need for a main gate and the pre-school remained an unsolved question for school authorities due to lack of funds. 61 Division Headquarters took the initiative in this regard and subsequently informed the school authorities of their desire to launch the project.
The opening ceremony of the new main gate, renovated pre-school and Children's Park took place during a ceremony, attended by Brigade Commander, 611 Brigade, Colonel Saman Liyanage, Divisional Educational Officer - Omanthai, Mr Sashi Kumar, Principal at Sri Krishna Vidyalaya and Mr Suthakaran and many others.
