Troops of the 6 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) completed its battalion training course at the 59 Infantry Division’s Battalion Training School at Nandikadal on 16 November.
The course with 8 Officers and 388 Other Ranks started on 26 September and reached its culmination on 15 November with closing remarks of the Commander, SFHQ-Mullaittivu.
On the final day (16) Major General Sanjaya Wanasinghe, Commander, Security Forces - Mullaittivu conducted the closing address and awarded certificates and trophies to those who have shown special skills in the course.
Major General Rohan Ponnamperuma, General Officer Commanding, 68 Division, Senior Officers, Officers and Other ranks participated in the closing ceremony.
