6 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) troops of the 682 Infantry Brigade, together with the 68 Infantry Division under the Security Force HQ-Mullaittivu on Saturday (18 Feb) during a ‘Shramadana’ cleaned up the coastal belt along Mullivaikkal sea area.
The project was carried out under the guidance of Major D.M.D.S Dissanayake, Commanding Officer, 6 SLNG, together with an Officer and 10 Other Ranks. The area covered was a beach patch of 1 km in distance.
Major General Rohan Ponnamperuma, General Officer Commanding, 68 Infantry Division and Brigadier Chaminda Galappaththi, Commander, 682 Infantry Brigade lent their blessings to the project.
