The 6 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) commemorated its 34th anniversary on 07 November 2024 at the 6 SLNG under the guidance of Major K.N.C. De Silva, the Commanding Officer of 6 SLNG.
On the anniversary day, the Commanding Officer of 6 SLNG was accorded a Guard Turnout, followed by a Battalion parade by the troops. Afterward, the Commanding Officer planted a sapling on the camp premises. He then posed for a group photograph and addressed the troops. The day concluded with an All Ranks tea, followed by an All Ranks lunch.
In the days leading up to the anniversary, an Inter Company Cricket Tournament was conducted, followed by a Bodhi Pooja and dhamma sermon to pay tribute to fallen war heroes and to invoke blessings for serving Army personnel and their families.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of 6 SLNG participated in the event.
