6 SLAC Builds New House for a Needy Family

Under the guidance of Major General P.A.M Peiris RSP USP psc, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 22 Infantry Division, a new house was erected by the troops of 6 Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (SLAC) for a needy family in Kithuluthuwa, Morawewa area with sponsorship provided by Mr. Anuradha Kothalawala. The new house was vested in the beneficiary on 09 April 2024 during a brief ceremony.

The Commander of 223 Infantry Brigade and the Commanding Officer of 6 SLAC took the initiative to complete this house using technical skills and manpower assistance given by troops of 6 SLAC.

During the warming ceremony, the house keys were symbolically handed over to the beneficiary by the GOC of 22 Infantry Division.

Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and residents in the area were among participants in the warming ceremony.
