6 More Deaths Reported - NOCPCO

As of this morning (30), a total of 2,882 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. 55 Sri Lankan expatriates and 2,827 of those positive cases are locally-identified ones, including the majority 541 from Gampaha District, 442 from Colombo District, 241 from Kalutara District and 1603 from different other Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (30), a total of 180,592 persons, have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them 83,437 were reported after the New Year. 148,390 of them after recovery have left hospitals. The affected 28,713 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centers.

By Sunday (30) morning (past 24 hours), 2,029 recovered patients have left care centers. 6 deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country rises to 1,405 by this morning (30).

By Sunday (30) morning, 376 persons have left 10QCs. As of this morning (30), 4,738 persons in 58 hotels and tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine.

By this morning (30) at the time this communiqué was released, the number of isolated areas remains unchanged and movement restrictions that have been enforced would continue.
