5th CCC New Contingent Commander Assumes Office

Colonel W. W. N. P. Wickramaarachchi of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment assumed office as the new Contingent Commander of 5th Combat Convoy Company (CCC) in the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) on Tuesday (4 July 2023) during a simple ceremony held, at Gao Super Camp.

At first, the new Contingent Commander laid a floral wreath at the War Heroes’ monument to pay his tribute to the memory of fallen ones who have made the supreme sacrifice on behalf of the MINUSMA mission.

Afterwards, he placed his signature in an official document and symbolized the acceptance of duties. After a while, he addressed the troops and shared refreshments.
