593 Brigade Troops Clean up Coastal Belt from Nayaru

Troops serving under the 593 Infantry Brigade of the 59 Infantry Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu took part in a programme to clean up the coastal belt in their respective areas from Nayaru to Chemmalai on Saturday (22).

The project was conducted on the instructions of the Commander, 593 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Wasantha Palamakumbura under the theme ‘Protect the Environment for Our Future’.

More than 100 troops of the 19 Gemunu Wacth (19 GW) and 5 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (5 (V) SLSR) took part in the event.
