Army troops, bent on doing everything possible to provide poor people in their respective areas with housing, built one more house and handed over it to a low-income group family in Selvapuram area in the 591 Brigade Headquarters.
Troops, having learnt the particular family’s housing status, brought it to the notice of 591 Brigade Commander and the 23 Sri Lanka Light Infantry Commanding Officer in the area who responded positively and launched work to build a house for them as early as possible.
Major General L.B.R Mark, Commander Security Forces Headquarters, Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT), District Secretary for Mullaittivu, Brigadier G.R.H Dias, General Officer Commanding, 59 Division, 591 and 592 Brigade Commanders and several officers attended the occasion.
