The 59 Division HQ conducted a second Command Post Exercise (CPX) Course for Officers of under command Brigades and Battalions during 13 -14 December 2021 at 591 and 592 Brigades, initiated by the General Officer Commanding, 59 Division, Major General G.D Sooriyabandara after rehearsing a series of map exercises at the Battalion levels.
The CPX was designed to enhance the knowledge of the 59 Division officers on staff writing, map reading, map marking, IPB process, preparation of appreciations, operation planning, admin planning, war gaming, etc.
The exercise concluded effectively during a closing ceremony.
