To coincide with the 14th anniversary of the 59 Division under the Security Force HQ - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT), 19 Gemunu Watch (GW) and 5 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) troops organized an obstacle crossing competition at the 2 Special Forces HQ on Monday (6).
The championship was won by the 19 Gemunu Watch battalion team and the 2nd place went to the 5 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment.
Major General G.D Suriyabandara, General Officer Commanding, 59 Division presented awards and trophies to the winners in the GW and SLSR. 592 Brigade Commander, Colonel Administration and Quartering 59 Division, Commanding Officers and a few officers attended the awarding ceremony.
