MULLAITTIVU: NORTH-BOUND 59 Division troops Tuesday (12) afternoon made another significant move and crossed the connecting bridge at WADUVAKAL to enter the southeast of SARVARTHOTTAM, next to the south of VELLAMULLAVAIKKAL.
Entry of the troops dominated an area about 300 meters, ahead of them and started consolidating their positions amidst a rain of LTTE fire. With the crossing of the bridge via NANTHI KANDAL estuary and the adjoining LTTE earth bund, the troops are further bagging new gains, giving a terrible blow to the terror outfit now in total disarray.
Tuesday’s (12) heavy fighting has so far made considerable progress in the remaining patch of land as the troops were making much headway against the terrorists in the shrinking New Safety Zone area.
