Thanks to the generosity extended by a private donor, personally known to Major General Priyanka Fernando, General Officer commanding, 58 Division, troops recently distributed a large stock of garments and clothes among needy families and religious places in Puttalam area.
Those stocks consisted of sarongs, sarees, ready-made garments, shirts, skirts, etc and a stock of white office-wear for state workers in the area.
Among recipients of those were the chief incumbent at Mahakonwewa Chiththa Samadhi Paramitha Temple, Rev Father of the Karuwalagaswewa Catholic church, Puttalam Divisional Secretariat and Town Council.
