58 Division Bids Farewell to Outgoing GOC

58 Infantry Division in Puttalam bade farewell to Major General H.D.W.K.N Eriyagama RWP RSP, the Outgoing General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 58 Infantry Division during a simple occasion on 27 April 2024.

The Outgoing GOC was greeted in a Guard Turnout at the entrance after he was welcomed by the Deputy General Officer Commanding of 58 Infantry Division. Afterwards, in accordance with military traditions, he was honoured in a ceremonial Guard of Honour followed by the troop address.

Later on, he declared open newly-constructed main gate of the 58 Infantry Division.

Further, he interacted with the troops during an All-Ranks tea and a memento was presented to him in appreciation of his service. As dusk fell, a farewell dinner was hosted in honour of the Outgoing GOC at the Officers’ Mess premises.

Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were also present during the occasion.
