58 Division Adds its Share to New Year

Officers and Other Rankers serving of the 58 Division under the Security Force Headquarters - West (SFHQ-West) held a Sinhala and Tamil New Year festival at the 58 Division Headquarters grounds in Boossa, Galle on Wednesday (11).

Major General Sudath Perera, General Officer Commanding, 58 Division, graced the event as the Chief Guest.

The event included many varieties of traditional games and fun-making features, adding glamour and fun to the occasion. Of them, a model of the rural village that had been erected by 58 Division troops in the premises, came in for praise of everyone.

Senior Officers and Other Ranks were also present during the event and the distribution of prizes to the winners culminated the day’s event.
