The 57 Infantry Division of the Security Force HQ-Mullaittivu, with the aim of improving sports skills of students in Kilinochchi area, organized a two-day long handball training workshop at the Kilinochchi Sports Stadium during May 26-27.
150 Students and 12 School Sports Instructors participated in the workshop and instructors of the Sri Lanka Army Hand Ball Committee led the workshop.
Troops of the 571 Infantry Brigade, together with 7 Sri Lanka Light Infantry and 9 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment troops made arrangements to this effect.
General Officer Commanding of the 57 Infantry Division, Major General J.C.P Peris RWP RSP ndc, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, Mr. Kahada Selwan, Assistant Education Director of Kilinochchi Zonal Education Office and teachers participated in the closing ceremony of the workshop.
