Major General Sujeewa Senerath Yapa, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 57 Division HQ made formal visits to the 9 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) camp in Paranthan on Thursday (19).
The visiting GOC was welcomed by Lieutenant Colonel L.G Epa, Commanding Officer, 9 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) at the main entrance before a formal Guard Turnout greeted him.
After that, he visited the camp in the area and the Commanding Officer briefed the role of the battalion and its responsibilities.
Troops’ address, tree planting and an all rank tea were among other features.
