57 Division HQ of the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) celebrated its 13th anniversary on Wednesday (26) with a series of events beginning Saturday (22). Commencement of the events was marked with a Mass at St. Theresa’s Church in Kilinochchi with the presence of the General Officer Commanding, 57 Division, Major General B.P.S de Silva.
In the evening, the Division was blessed with Hindu religious observances at Kandasami Kovil in Kilinochchi, followed by Islamic religious rituals at Salam Jumma Mosque in Kilinochchi on Monday (24).
A ‘Bana’ (sermon) by Ven. Kaagama Sirinanda Thero got underway on 25th evening and around 600 troops participated in the programme.
The ceremonial events of the anniversary commenced on Wednesday (26) with a Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour bestowed on the General Officer Commanding by 9 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment troops. Subsequently, the Chief Guest appeared for a group photograph with the participation of Officers and Divisional Staff. After a troop address, an all rank lunch was organized on the same day at Non-Commissioned Officers’ Club.
Finally, as the last event of the celebration, All Ranks of the 57 Division joined a get-together evening followed by a musical evening. best Running shoes | Nike for Men
