The newly constructed Buddha shrine at the 57 Division Headquarters premises, was opened on account of Vesak Poya Day on Sunday (3) during a brief religious ceremony.
Brigadier H. J. Seneviratne, General Officer Commanding, 57 Division ceremonially opened the shrine with the participation of officers and other rankers at the Headquarters. The shrine was a long-felt need of the Army personnel at the place for their religious observances.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Rankers attended this religious event.
