With the view to infusing new knowledge and practices, Major General D.G.S SenerathYapa, General Officer Commanding of 57 Division recently conducted a workshop for the troops of 3 Gajaba Regiment (GR) on 'Leadership and Motivation'.
The workshop focused on innovative approaches to groom the strategic soldiers, operational and non-operational activities, pertaining to the present scenario, a soldier's basic duty commitments, alertness, national development, etc.
The techniques of managing situations were deeply discussed in the background of evolving circumstances and enhancing the thinking capacity of the soldiers in adaptability, rapid change within the existing environment, etc.
The Colonel General Staff of the 57 Division, Commanding Officer and all officers and Other Ranks of 3 Gajaba Regiment participated in the workshop.
Meanwhile, one more workshop for use of basic Geographic Information System (GIS) tracking, and its related applications was conducted on 29 June at the 57 Division for the officers and soldiers of under command battalions and brigades.
The aim of the programme was to make the officers and soldiers familiarize with the GIS technology, based on mapping and data storing systems into the practical aspects.
At the same time, this programme was organized as a part of the master programme, titled 'Adaptive Leadership Training for Junior Leaders' in order to further enhance their knowledge.
