The 56th Army Athletic Championships - 2019 was inaugurated this morning (26) at the Sugathadasa Stadium during a formal ceremony. Major General Sathyapriya Liyanage, Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army attended the opening as the Chief Guest.
The Chief Guest was welcomed by Major General Mahinda Mudalige, Commander Security Forces - West & Chairman Army Athletic Committee, together with few Officers at the venue soon after his arrival.
This championship tournament will continue until Wednesday (28).
