563 Infantry Brigade Troops Join Distribution of Coconut Saplings

Giving a further boost to the ongoing coconut cultivation project in the Wanni and the North, 563 Infantry Brigade troops of the Security Force HQ - Wanni distributed 500 more coconut saplings among civilians residing in Marathodai area, Nedunkeni, Vavuniya on Tuesday (5 Dec).

11 Sri Lanka Gemunu Regiment troops taking saplings, provided by the Coconut Cultivation Board distributed them to the beneficiaries with the objective of promoting the proposed establishment of the ‘Second Coconut Triangle’ in the North. It was inaugurated in Mullaittivu and spread to the Wanni afterwards.
