562 Brigade Troops Disinfect Vavuniya Town Areas

Troops of the 562 Brigade on the directions of the Commander, Security Forces - Wanni, Major General Hemantha Bandara and the General Officer Commanding of the 56 Division Major General Nandana Dunuwila conducted several disinfection programmes in their respective areas covering public places on 16 May 2021 in order to suppress the fast spread of the COVID-19 virus.

The troops of the 562 Brigade under the supervision of Commander 562 Brigade Brigadier Senaka Premawansa, sterilized public places such as Bus Stands, the Railway Station, Welfare Centers, State and Private Banks, Markets, Hospital and public assembly points in Vavuniya city area. This programme was carried out by 17 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment with the assistance of Sri Lanka Engineers Troops, Vauniya Police, Public Health Inspectors, and Urban Council members.
