Ahead of the Christmas, troops of the 21 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment of the 563 Brigade under the 56 Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni conducted a ‘Shramadana’ campaign together with civilians to clean up the Our Lady of Welakanni Church in Omanthai and Fathima Church in Pudiyasinnakulam area on 24 December 2020 since those compounds remained littered with garbage.
The General Officer Commanding, 56 Division, Major General Harendra Ranasinghe, together with Colonel Panduka Perera, Commander, 563 Brigade coordinated and supervised the arrangements during those self-help campaigns.
Meanwhile, troops of the 16 Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and 17 (v) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment of the 561 Brigade under the 56 Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni conducted self-help cleaning projects to rid garbage in Kanagarayankulam Punid Anthony Aalay Church, Parasankulam DMS Catholic Church, Nedunkerni Ave Maria Church and Mathiyamadu Ave Maria Church compounds during 23-24 December on the eve of the dawn of the X’mas.
Brigadier Priyantha Rathnayake, Commander 561 Brigade coordinated and supervised the arrangements in those projects.
In the meantime, church buildings in surrounding areas of Our Lady of Madu and St. Xavier Churches, situated in Mannar area were cleaned by 24 Gajaba Regiment troops serving under the 653 Brigade of the 65 Division in order to facilitate people participating for masses during Christmas season during 22 - 23 December.
The event was held under the supervision of the Major General Tikiri Dissanayaka, General Officer Commanding of the 65 Division and the Brigadier Sanka Jayamaha, Commander of the 653 Brigade as instructed by Major General Priyantha Perera, Commander of the Security Forces - Wanni with the dedication of the Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Chaminda Pushpakumara and all ranks of the 24 Gajaba Regiment.Asics footwear | 『アディダス』に分類された記事一覧
